Brickworld - Life Will Find A Way

I've been working too hard recently and needed something to chill me out and pick me up.

As always, the wonderworlds came to my rescue and directed me to a wonderful experience with the power of life to survive in the most challenging and alien environments.

I found this really inspirational and also, deeply revitalising.

My gratitude, as always, to the Creative Order for this experience.

The Briefest Winter

The town nestles
at the foot of a cliff;
protected
from the winds,
embraced
by the sea.

Mists are gentle here,
silk summers none too hot;
the springs are mild
the autumn storms
most civilised.

And yet, one morning
I awoke to find
beneath a royal sky
of finest blue,
the garden crystalised,
transformed into
a fairy land, strange
world of beauty,
sparkling, magical,
all new it seemed,
all different
and bright, and white.

I went to greet this,
I remained to see the snow
turn clear, turn water,
fall away, time drops
dissolving then to now,
the briefest winter
come and gone.

Birch Pond

I've been busy with one thing or the other, but the other night I had a strong feeling that I wanted just to do "a happy little painting that makes you feel good inside". In true Bob Ross spirit, I got a canvas and just started, let it unfold and Birch Pond is the result. I enjoyed painting it and it does make me feel good - calm, happy. It's true and all is as it should be.
